blanking plates

are the fuel pumps the same for the 1600 and 2000 motors?

i have a friend who is making blanking plates for some british cars, and he 
was wondering if the cover plate which one might use to cover the mechanical 
fuel pump for the 1600 is the same as for the 2000, and what demand, if any, 
there might be.

i am thinking about switching to an electic fuel pump on my early 67 low 
windshield 1600, which is what started the discussion
