Glad that you made it OK. That was a long trip. I dropped my gas tank
AGAIN last night determined to clear out the pickup. After much
frustration over the past few weeks I was going to clear it out or break
it off. Many attempts going through the top of the tank tube proved
feeble with anything thicker than a wire strand. Still determined I got
the idea to move it over the drain hole in the gas tank. Finally - I
could see into it and the opening was about the size of a pencil lead.
I sharpened a threaded rod and was able to screw/push it through. Then
I blew the line out with a compressor. Once cleared, I put everything
back together for a drive. Guess what - that damn thing runs like a
scalded dawg. I had forgotten how good these cars can run and I credit
your carb work for a lot of it. It really screams and now poses a
dilemma for me. I have it all but sold but now having second thoughts.
(Thanks Mark Dent) It is way fast and smooth. Goes to show - be careful
what you wish for.

Thanks again for all your help.
