I finally got up to look at the 69 2L, sorry for the delay.
It is rough, but should be a good start for someone who wants to bring a
car back from the brink.
I asked if it came from up East and was told that it hadn't. Not sure
why so much rust.
Interior is fair. The console cover is toast, but the rest of the
interior looks fair. Dash pad is cracked.
The engine oil was 1/2 qt. low, but clean.
The exhaust system at least needs a new resonator, the pipe is rusted
out just in front of it.
The right hard top window is missing, although the top looks pretty
good. There are only 2 latches on the top of the windshield, is this
normal? There is no top frame, nor top in the car, owner says that she
paid a vendor for a replacement top, but he can't find it. If it shows
up it will be included.
There is a Crane ignition unit behind the battery (DSC02483) I think it
was a 700.
Emissions have been stripped.
Firewall cracks under the brake master (DSC02481 and 82)
Brake and clutch fluid dirty.
The numbers match, I think. I can't tell for sure looking at the
pictures - sorry.
The car has been off the road for about 18 months. 3 years before that
the engine was rebuilt. She has some paperwork on it, but didn't have it
with her at the car.
Brakes felt good as did the clutch. Clutch fluid was low.
We couldn't start it but I was told that it at least turned over.
She has an ignition key, but no trunk key. Someone tried to break into
the trunk, the trunk lid is bent up on the right.
Tires are mismatched, fronts are about 4 years old, rears are older.
I took some pictures and put them up on the web. Take a look at the
following URLs:

They want to get rid of the car as soon as possible. When I left they
were getting ready to tow it to his place.
If anyone is interested please contact Caroll and Tom directly.
Peace,
Pat
