i'm looking at the gages on my car, a low windshield early 67 1600 roadster. there's rust on the chrome rings. can they be cleaned up without damaging the glass? its clear they don't come apart. i've heard talk of hundreds of dollars per gage to restore them. replace, refurbish, what? anyone have a better idea? are there aftermarket gages made that will fit? i'm thinking that the dashboard has to be redone/replaced anyway, so i'd have some leeway with size. |
