Funny thing...The article recommends the 2000, not
necessarily the "the plain, if pleasing 1500(and later
1600)". Yet the photo next to the recommendation is of
an early SPL311 1600, not a 2000!
The details still needed fine tuning... For example,
he notes the 2000 "was limited to three model years" .
Hmmm.. 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970
