Gary, It can be done, but the transmission needs to have the hole for the
shifter possibly modified as it may come out in a different place. I have
already done the conversion on my 1500, I placed discs up front to upgrade
to the roadster disc brackes and a rear end from a 2000. The swap was easy,
I may have some pictures if needed. My conversion is using a KA24DE engine.
I hope to have this car done next year.....
