Guess I did not edit one of my postings, so it did not make it to the list...
JC Whitney has a great tool for balancing the carbs, better than the unisyn as
it does not slow down the flow... I have both and my unisyn sits in my tool
box. It is part number WJ882792, their phone number is 1-800-529-4486, cost
$29.95 plus shipping. I have had mine for over 2 years and love it. Much
easier to read, very adaptable. One of the few good things I have gotten from
JCW over the years... did get some good weather stripping though... used it as
a trunk seal actually, as well as for the doors... clearly not stock, but it
worked great.

BTW, the battle on the Roadster continues... new gaskets; no change. Re-wire;
no change. Tried a points dizzy, could not get it to run (yet)... put the EI
back in, fired immediately. Car runs hot at low speeds (over 220 degrees) with
a serious rad, good thermostat, etc. If I run the crap (I mean 100 + mph) out
of it it cools down to 190 and has plenty of power... go figure. I must be
lean on the low end, but changing to richer jets makes it worse. Hoping a
friend with an exhaust analyizer will be able to look at it. Compression is
155-165 all 4, lower than recently recorded 185-190, but no sign of head gasket
leak. I have NEVER been so stumped by a car, and this is a simple engine.
I'll admit, I am so mad at it right now I have had thoughts of selling it.
There, I said it... are you listening to me Roadster Gods? (maybe that will
help...).
