Yes, as Marc said, forming Lexan is a major pain. That is water that is
bubbling, so pre-heat at low temp (Dupont says 250 for 6 hours, but I'd
bet Marc has more practical experience than the guy who wrote that
industry manual) for a long time is mandatory for windshield forming,
and most propane 'blow' heaters are too focused, so ya gotta have a
sizeable convection oven. (6-12" larger than part dimensions
recommended)
Dunno about other states, but only side windows (no front or rears) are
legal in Kalifohnia without 'tempered' glass imprints. Those pop-out
rear windows were in style years ago with the mini-truckers, and all
they resulted in was a mess of tickets from motorcycle cops.
