Hi Gary,
Sorry 'bout the blog thing - I wanted to have a form for posting comments,
but unfortunately my web host doesn't allow it (or at least not that I can
figure out).
We do have custom plates in BC, and I have in mind what I feel is the
perfect name - don't want to let the cat out of the bag until I register it,
though. It'll be a christening of sorts. :-)

John -
I just checked out the August update on your '66 Roadster project, and this
bit made me laugh out loud:
"...Women should say things like "Aw, that's such a cute car!" when I drive
by, and men should say things like "Holy Crap - what has he GOT in that
thing??!" after they realize that their Porsche has, in fact, been beaten by
a Datsun...!"
When I first got my Sora Blue '70 18 years ago, the first thing that every
woman who saw it said was "What a cute car! (I think that reaction was
engendered - in part - by the "baby" blue color) - but my box stock 2000
wasn't going to go around humbling 911s!
I don't know if BC has custom license plates like many of the states down
here in the US, but might I suggest "Q SHIP"? Back in WW II the Brits had
tricky little heavily-armed anti-submarine boats disguised as
innocent-looking merchies which they called "Q-ships" (see
http://www.history.navy.mil/docs/wwii/Q-ships.htm#anchor1557612).
I look forward to keeping up to date with the progress of your car on your
webpage.
