The size of the alternator has nothing to do with it. The problem is the number of accessories and the amount of amps that they draw. It doesn't matter if the alternator is rated for 1000 amps it will only generate to match the load put on it. My suggestion is to install the new alternator and harness. For any device that you replace with a higher amperage like lights or radio you should wire them separately with heavier gauge wires. Andy |
