Funny thing is the only plug wires that have failed on me were the aftermarket
spiral core wires.
The first was the 300+ Thundersport wires that cracked a boot (it was plastic
inside) and started arcing.
The second set was the MSD that caused a stuttering acceleration after 2 years
of use.
I switched to standard conductor wires and the problem was solved.
My wife's car had 180,000 miles on the original factory wires and it still ran
fine.
I checked the resistance and they were all within spec.

Subject: RE: Plug Wire Recommendations
I used MSD super conductors, got leftovers from someone on Ebay for about
$15.00, spent another $10.00 on boots, and still have enough left for
another set. If you buy an 8 cylinder universal set, there will be enough
for 2 or more 4 cylinders with plenty of leftover. Maybe split the cost
with a friend. Most speed shops will crimp them for you after you cut them
to length. They are ultra low resistance with spiral core RF shielding.
May as well over do it on the wires, then you will never need to upgrade.
