have a 68 2000 here last registered '98 that body is good enough that it
deserves to be fixed... PO had kicked timing and had the top end done and
then not too much later on stopped driving it and parked it in his
grandparents barn when the starter went away. then a friend of theirs with a
nicer car needing storage took over the barn space and it went outside under
the tree... he said it ran well and the transmission shifted well with no
synchro noises. didn't get a title with it, he'd lost track of that over the
years. he bought it in Hawaii in 1980. still has the '98 tag on it and a
duplicate could probably be pursued. anyhow, first $1250 buys it, for
perspective the timing components alone go for about that these days.... if
