July issue of Classic Motorsports has a great article on the Toyota
2000GT. I knew that Yamaha had offered the motor to Nissan, but they
declined. I did NOT know that Peter Brock had a contract with Toyota prior
to going with Nissan?
Anyway, at the very end of the article, for some reason, printed in
italics, is;
"Rob Beddington runs one of the world's most comprehensive Datsun roadster
Web sites. It can be viewed at www.fairlady.org."
Not sure how you managed that Rob, but it is always good to see roadsters
& owners in the news!
I didn't see any other roadsters in this issue, but the next couple of
issues will have coverage of Road Atlanta's Mitty Challenge with lots of
SEROC members photos! The cover of the July issue is a nice looking 240Z
that was part of a write up on '70s sports cars. I don't think I'm spoiling
the ending by saying it came out on top! And it will be seen it a few
coming issues. After 5 years of bugging Tim Suddard about getting into some
Datsuns, he finally bought this Z. But after the Mitty, I think he may be
looking for a roadster soon!
