I own a 1966 "garage queen" who's soft top has just about reached the end of
its useable life. One front snap has torn off, the other is tearing; twistys
and postys need sunshine and about 70 degrees to mate. Now I'm wondering if
I should replace it with a "fabric" top like a number of cars had at the
last Solvang. Or should I stick with vinyl. Rallye sells a vinyl for $320
plus "professional" installation. The "fabric" tops look pretty nice though.
Does anyone have recommendations on which top to get, particularly
shrinkage, and what I can expect to pay for top plus installation?
I drive almost always with the top down. However, when in the garage, the
car almost always has its top up. Thanks for any suggestions.
