Panasport 101 now begins:
There are 3 center caps we will look at today:
A) The tall, black center caps that come with 14x6 Pansport FS , 15mm
offset.

These caps are okay, but I never like the way they look. Even these won't
clear my new 15" Panasports(more on that later)
B) The Chrome/black late model center caps that come with the new 15x6, 15mm
offset Panasport FS"

These caps are ugly. They have the "ribbed for nobody's pleasure" nubs on
them and they stick out way too far. Unfortunately this is what everyone
runs and what most vendors(ie. CDM) sell. You may call it a "roadster" cap
since the real one doesn't clear the front hub.
C) Finally, the classic, original Chrome/black "Hex" cap that all Z/510
Panasport FS wheels use:

This is the "real cap", but it's much shallower then caps A and B.
So, why did I make an adaptor? I like the hex caps. My original black caps
would not clear, nor would the ribbed caps. The other option was to go with
a custom cap, like Herb Petty did:

But again, I like the hex caps, so I made them fit. My wheels are 10mm
offset, so the wheel face is effectively "pushed" inward, making the hub
"stick out" even further!
SO, even if you are currently running caps A/B you can switch to the hex
caps with an adaptor up front.

Panasport does not make a hex "roadster cap", it's the ribbed one.

Excuse me!! Did you look at the picture you posted of your Panasports for
Sale on the 311 site, the center caps are different than the ones you tried
to make fit??
Now I do admit the ones you are trying to make fit are nice looking, but
they are different ones.
