Phil,
Paul Gabriel has had some good luck with quality gauge restoration and
rebuilding. I don't have his email, but he is here on the list and hopefully
when he sees this message will respond directly to you.

Hey guys -
This week I replaced my tach and speedo due to failing '66 units. I had a
set of 67.5 gages but the bezels were very rusty. So, I sanded them down to
metal and they look kind of like - "antique". Not a bad look.
Well, I am driving my Roadster in this morning and the speedo works great,
but the tach starts to "squeal" and peg out. As I was driving I reach under
the dash to disconnect the cable and just as I was down to the last turn on
the cable the tach pegs out and breaks the needle - BUMMER!! Missed it by
10 seconds! I will see if I can dig another tach up......:(..:(
Question - If this happens again, is there a way to lube the thing. I can't
spray anything in there or it will fog the glass. Also, how much to have my
'66 gages restored?
Road Atlanta!!
