Your buddy should consider himself very lucky alvin.  I've seen many many bikes 
down on that road - back when I was riding sportbikes I lowsided when I hit 
some oil leaned over through a curve.  Broke my collarbone and thumb and messed 
up my bike bad.  I rode for a couple months after I recovered, but my heart 
wasn't in it.  That's how I ended up into roadsters.  Those healed bones are 
never right again...
