AFAIK, the low-windshields only use two clamps. That's what's on my '66.

Subject: Soft Top.
I have a question for the group.
I purchased a soft top, without frame on E Bay for a short windshield 1600.
Currently I have a hard top that came with the car and a frame for a soft
top. Both the hard top and the soft top frame have two clamps located front
end toward each side of the top.
When I received the soft top, the top had the front brace with three clamps
on the top. the clamps look just like what are on my '69 soft top.
Should I have three clamps on the '66 soft top, like my '69?
If so, What would the middle clamp attach to?
I have already gone back to the seller and asked if this is right and what
is going on. I have not tried to attached the top to the frame.
