There is a spacer under there that adjusts the bearing preload. It should be
fine after you put it back together but after driving put your hands on the
carrier nose. If it is getting hot then the bearings are too tight. Nissan
used to have various thickness spacers but they are NLA last time I checked. I
ended up measuring the one in mine and turning one a few thousandths thicker
on the lathe. I measured the preload, took it back out, thinned it a
thousandth, reinstalled, remeasured, etc, etc, etc. With just a seal
replacement it
should be alright but do check as you really don't want to burn up the
bearings.
