Maybe it has a heat related problem with the ignition module.
I have a Nissan 3L(RB30) in my family car that died when the module got up
to engine operating temp.
(The module is located inside the distributor.)
Let it cool and it would start and run for another 10mins.

Subject: OT - Volvo 940 problems
My co-worker has a 1995 Volvo 940 with 104,000 miles and is experiencing
intermittent problems that his mechanic cannot diagnose. It dies.
After it sits overnight it starts and runs fine. Sounds electrical to me.
Do these cars have cam position sensors that go out? Or coils that go bad?
Any help would be appreciated.
