Lonestar - You bring up a good point and why my Roadster does not have a
name. When I am mad, glad, happy or sad - the name changes. My co-workers
have always called it Rice Rocket. Burns rice and I work for NASA. I even
had "rice rocket" done in Japanese characters, done in vinyl (thanks to Mark
Dent!) and put on the doors. I just always have called my Roadsters "The
Datsun".

The story I heard was the name Fairlady came from Datsun's desire to
please the Emporer, who was enamored with the Broadway musical, My
Fair Lady... Urban legend? Don't know, but it makes a good story.
Subsequently, I decided to name my '67 after the female star of the
movie version: Audrey, as in Hepburn.
I always name my vehicles so I'll have something to call them when
I'm pi**ed at them... besides %@*&^!)!%&*!!!!
