Try heating them up with a torch, almost where they are starting to turn dull red, and douse them with water. Then try and put the wrench to them. The different expansion/contraction rates come into effect and usually break the rust loose. The water also will draw into the gap when things cool, then create steam. An old machinist showed me this one, and it has worked most of the time. Bob 1966 1600 |
