My washer pump didn't work when I first got my '68, but it was a simple 
matter of pulling it out and blowing a bunch of sediment out of the little 
motor under the tank.  It's really the lowest point in the sytem, so all 
sediment will naturally end up there.

Other than that, I've never tested my wipers.  Heck I wonder if they work? 
I put new wiper blades in, but  can't remember ever actually running them. 
Hope they work when I get the car all back together.
