Hello all,
 
    I installed a wood dash that the owner had  fabricated from red oak. It 
looks great. The problem was that it was fairly  thick, a little less than a 
quarter inch. The turn signal lights, switches and  several other things had to 
be modified to allow for the extra thickness. My  suggestion would be to make 
it as thin as possible to save problems.
