Thankyou Graeme, Gordon and Carl,

There are two reasons for my asking:
1. A discussion on the 311s.org site about using the G15 crank in an R16
block to get about 1800cc's. To use a stock R/U piston I calculate a 149 mm
rod is needed.

G15 stroke @ 74 mm
Con. Rod @ 149 mm
R/U piston pin height @ 41 mm
R/U deck height @ ~ 227 mm

(1/2 stroke + rod length + piston pin height = Deck Hieght)

37 + 149 + 41 = 227 mm

So , unless there is a workable 149mm rod, the best way I can see to do this
is with an R16 rod and a custom piston. 37 + 152.45 + (37.55) = 227

Anyone know of a 149 mm rod that could work?
How about some of that Brit. :-O stuff? DatsunMike?

2. I am in the process of putting together a data sheet for the G, R, U,
and H engines. Basic stuff like bore, stroke, deck height, rod length,
piston pin height, valve sizes...etc.
Sort of a quick reference thing. I will do it up in Excel and forward to
anyone who would like a copy, as well Steve Allen may put it up on his site.

Graeme, sorry to pick on you, but, since you seem to have a dismantled 1500
handy, could I bother you for the deck height and piston pin height?

Thanks everyone
Daryl
