I have a black car with red interior and I must say I always get a good
response from people about the combination.
As far as to time- let me put it this way- the restoration shop told me it
would have taken far less time to paint the car had I chosen white with red
interior which was my second choice behind black. It did take a while to get
the car body into shape for the black paint. I also had the car color sanded
after about 5 months when the paint had completely cured and it came out
like glass.
The black paint loves to attract ashes and bugs and I am convinced the car
grows lint by osmosis, but I think the look is great. I also think the
Silver and Black cars are really nice. It always goes back to your own
tastes.
