Hi Bob I'm willing to bet that this car is a 1938 BMW 327 either a 2-door coupe or cabriolet. See the following link: _http://www.brooklands.org.uk/Originalimages/R9815_1.jpg_ (http://www.brooklands.org.uk/Originalimages/R9815_1.jpg) Most of the headlights of the BMWs from that time were more upright than your pic, but I have seen some that were more 'faired-in'. If it is a BMW it must have been a fairly rare sight in California back in 1943! Cheers. Rob |
