List,
After over 150 positive e-bay transactions I have had my first sour apple. I
bought a Momo steering wheel for my car. The seller stated it was open box
and it was in good condition. In the subject line he stated SWEET!. I paid
$112 for it. When I received it I realized I got taken. The leather is
sun-baked and cracked on the upper portion of the grip. It looks like it sat
in a
junk yard for 10 years. I emailed him and told him I thought he misrepresented
his item and he said I should have asked questions and there was a pic of the
wheel for me to see. Well it was one pic and the upper portion of the wheel
was beyond the frame of the picture. You couldn't see the top of the grip. I
wonder why? He offered a discount of $25 but I told him I would compromise
and settle for $50 since I could put it on ebay with an accurate description
and
recoup part of my money. This was after he refused a full refund. He then
stopped responding to my emails. I plan on leaving negative feedback. I also
have seen on paypal you can file a dispute?? Has anyone done this and is
there somewhere I can leave him bad press on ebay too besides leaving bad
feedback. I chalk this one up to me not asking questions and also finding one
of the
few bad apples on ebay. I want to hurt his rating however I can. Any
suggestions and or pointers on what to do would be appreciated.
Take care all, Thanks in advance,
John Over
