Hey all,
Check this car out on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2484431274&category=6188
Now the owner goes to all the trouble to list the car as "not 2000" in the
description, although the vin is listed as SRL311-00529- a 67.5 2000 vin.
Also, the side trim goes all the headlamp trim giiving the appearnace of
being a 1500. It also has early 67 seats in the car.
There is no clear shot of the dash, but there is no center console and
correct me if I am wrong, but that looks like a 1500 shift plate.
Pretty wild.
A couple of weeks ago, I got to look at a "67.5" 1600 owned by Kevin Do.
(Very nice guy). The car had a 67.5 dash with a 67 early rear view mirror.
The car had early 67 doors and it had a single brake master cylinder with no
inset for the the dual cylinder. the eingine number matched the 67.5 Vin
plate, but the vin on the frame read SPL-0-----. I could not make out the
rest.
It's very interesting to see these cars. One wonders how they came to be
like this.
