Not sure how 'into' old cars you are, but if you like the look and want to
skip the hassle of tuning all the time and looking for expensive engine
parts, skip the 67.5 2000. Buy a flat dash 1600, preferably one with a bad
motor. Then swap in a KA24 and 5 speed from a 240SX! The motor fits like
it was built for the car. Electronic ignition and fuel injection make it
almost service free. And the 5 speed make freeway cruising a dream. Not to
mention that the extra cc's make a lot more power!
I just finished up putting a KA24E & 5 speed in my 1969 1600 and I wish I
had done it years ago. There are a couple of early photos of it at

did most of the hard work for me. A great shop run by two Datsun nuts,
Chris and Dave.
