My 67.5 --1600 SPL 311 is about to have its motor-transm yanked to redo
wornout clutch..I am restoring..second owner..90K miles ..I have done new
rings,bearings,fuel pump and more..engine runs well in garage. (new paint)..I
don't think the car experienced extraordinary abuse,or raced..engine all
standard ,SU'S etc. It is obvious time to inspect transm...my question
is--what do I look for?? This is not a frame off ,race , or show car deal--I
just want a presentable drive-around fun car.. no long distance or long range
expectations as I am about as old as one can get. Thanks for advice .Joe
