I have an early 3-main R-16 that has been fitted with a late-style
alternator/engine mount bracket on the carb side. It looks much wider
than the early style (from what I remember). Is the earlier one the
same as the other engine mount?
If there is a difference in size, will it move the engine out of proper
alignment? (Seems a bit off center.)
I'm thinking of converting to the one-wire alternator anyway, so I
don't mind using a different engine mount.
The good news is the engine is back in the car!
