Mike is right...a 3 row core will help. However, the 1600 (and 1500)
radiators are notoriously too small. Switching over to a 2000 radiator may
be the best option.
Also, for your thermostat...rumors recommend drilling a small hole, or a
notch in the thermostat to help prevent locking issues. Also, besides your
cooling system hardware, make sure the car is in good tune...If the timing
is significantly off...it can overheat the car.
