Pertronix makes 2 different types of Ignitors. The original, as installed in Mitsubishi dizzies, is the original type and needs resistance. The improved 'II' type needs no resistance. American V8s mainly use the latter type although the original may still be available. There is no improved unit for our cars or for most foreign cars. Mike |
