hi all,
I have installed my new upper ball joint boots. I turn the nut until is
seats and then tighten it, back off a little and insert the cotter pin.
sound right?
I am still waiting on the pivot arm seals before I mount it and the upper
a-arm. the side rods that attach to the spindle also have boots that I am
waiting for. when I was at the dealer there were two offered. is there two
on the side rod? one was a grease seal and the other was a dust seal. I
ordered the dust seal. I only had one on the side rods to begin with. any
thoughts? once the seals and cover are installed I will be putting it back
together. Keith was nice enough to allow me to use his sand blaster to clean
off the a-arms and brake shields so I could paint them. they look pretty
good. he also allowed me the use of his ball joint puller. worked awesome.
just wanted to give Keith kudos for all the help. I even got to see him
install an engine back into another roadster. as usual I asked my share of
annoying questions I am sure hehehe. I also wanted to thank everyone for the
input on the steering wheels, etc. the pictures were appreciated!
