I can only offer my opinion (I'm not a professional mechanic) but after owning over 35 cars in the last 25 years I will tell you that a pump that pumps gas into a can is no indication that it's works well enough to run your carbs! Best to use a pressure gauge on your pump, I'm guessing 3 to 5 PSI and the pressure should hold after cranking has stopped. It sounds like a fuel related problem, and it could very well be a "weak" pump. Mike H. 67'-1600 |
