We bought a 69 2000 with the idea of doing a restroation on it. In the
meantime we collected two more roadsters: one completely rust free. In the
past few years we have restored a couple of antique motorcycles, an antique
wooden canoe, an antique farm tractor, and a '74 Chevy pickup. We always say
"we're just going to fix this one up and drive it" but somewhere in the middle
it turns into a full restration. My wife says that I would rather have
something old and just a little bit broken than something brand new. I
digress.
Any way, back to Datsuns. After finishing the Chevy pickup, we think that we
need a rest. We would like to find a roadster that's in nice shape and would
make a good daily driver. The ideal situation would be to find a nice looking
car with a blown engine or trans, as we have a couple extras laying around.
Swaping some major parts would probably be okay, but we would have to find
something that's nice enough that we wouldn't accidentaly tear it apart and
restore it.
Is there anybody out there who's got what we're looking for? We're thinking of
selling off the other roadsters. Maybe someone is thinking of doing a
restoration and only has a nice daily driver to tear apart and restore. This
would be an ideal time to trade it in on something that needs a restoration.
What do you think we should do?
