Take out the voltage regulator and use very fine wet/dry paper to clean the contacts. I have seen them become pitted and stuck together from lack of use. BTDT I'd also disconnect the battery when you don't use the car. It really is safer to leave the battery disconnected as it has been known for a car to burn up from mysterious causes. I use one of those disconnects on the battery which makes life easier. Mike |
