Speaking of glove, if you haven't picked up on the Team Mechanix work
gloves, they're really great. Thin enough to feel small fasteners and such,
but made out of kevlar or something similar that reflects heat very well.
They also have slip on sleeves that protect your arms while digging around
in hot engine compartments. Different styles (tin, thick, etc.) are
available and you can just toss them in the washer occasionally.
Bought mine on sale at an Auto Zone in Kerrville (NW of San Antonio) for
around $15. They're also great for keeping your hands and fingernail fairly
clean.
