I was approached by a ol' geezer (both odd and eccentric but very cool) former
Roadster owner today. He seemed fairly knowledgeable about Datsuns in
general. He quoted most of the "watch out for..." tips and tricks noted by the
Listers and WWW anyways.
One of the tips he emphasized on was putting a 1 to 4 (4:1?) intake manifold on
a U20. He couldn't remember what the manifold came from but said he has
driven one "with a single beefy carb on top" and was very insistent it was for
a U20.
Probably nice to have for economy and easy tunes/maintenance but I'm still ok
with dual carbs. I was just curious if there is such a thing because I haven't
seen anybody mention it. Does anyone know what the intake manifold came from
or if such a thing exists?
...and since we're here... has anyone installed a 4-pack intake with success?
