You'll need to take that up with Enzo (Ferrari). The "Breadvan" and the Ford
J-car were the ultimate development of the Kamm-back theory of aerodynamics.
Dr. Kamm was the one who discovered that a truncated rear was actually more
aerodynamic than a sharply tapered tail. The sharp taper causes flow
separation and more turbulence than a milder taper ending in a flat end. The
ducktail spoiler was a further development to help things. Look at the back
of a Ferrari GTO or even the aftermarket rear spoilers for the Z-cars.
