I bought a 67, really a 66, MGB on eBay and while it runs well after some
work and replacing some parts, it did sustain damage in a collision many
years prior that was hidden to some extent and which I was not told about by
the seller despite asking him. It looks pretty good from 10 feet and looked
great in the pictures but it does need a lot of body work to be 100%.
Fortunately this is no rust. The seller was truthful in that it was a '10
footer'.

I was a lot luckier than several other people who purchased cars on eBay and
who got royally screwed by the seller.

In fact I saw one car advertised on eBay that was a POS with a shiny bondo
paint job. I saw the car in person many months prior to the auction and
except for the new interior and the new shiny cheap paint job, it was really
garbage. The seller tried to pass it off as a fully restored perfect car.
After the auctions I contacted both high bidders and told them the truth and
they later retracted their bids. Yes, the guy had the nerve to list it again
after the first high bidder declined to pay.

Caveat Emptor is all I have to say.

Mike
