Done that but on a 240Z. Very difficult job as almost everything you can
imagine is welded to the wheelhousings. Those spot welds are difficult
to reach unless you remove the rear fender panel. Why not cut 1/2"
outside the seam and weld in a strip after you are done with the
modification?
