KYB Gas-A-Just Shocks

Well ,
Pickup a pair of shocks KYB KG5447 for the rear of my 70 2000 with stock rear
springs. Shock bolts right on but the compressed length is longer than the
stock and the extended length is all so longer. I know a lot of you guy's are
running these on your cars with stock rear springs but don't they bottom out??
My question is should I send them back and if so what number should I have
ordered??
