Tom,
Now I am confused.
My '68 does not have side marker lights. My belief was that '68
did not have side lights, '69 has round rear and tear drop front
side lights, and '70 has rectangular front and rear side lights.
To me having no side lights is a cleaner look. However, I do like
the teardrops lights.
Did I miss something?

Jeff,
If you are new to the list, welcome.
The wiring diagram for the 68 and 69
models is close, and both should have
side marker lights mounted on the body.
Side marker lights were federally
mandated starting in 68. Some owners
have removed these over the years, which
may have happened on one of your cars.
Your 66 should not have any marker
lights.
There are some minor differences between
a 68 and 69 wiring diagram. One of
these is the turn signal switch. 68
switches are not interchangeable with
69/70 models.
I have gone to a lot of effort to
produce a wiring diagram for the 69
model only. It is available from the
TECH page on my web site. 311s.org also
has wiring diagrams for various years,
but one of their diagrams combines the
69 and 70, which are also slightly
different (the 70 has a couple of
federally mandated safety switches). My
diagram started life as a scan of the
diagram in the original 1969 owners
manual.
If you haven't done so yet, visit
311s.org and register your cars, and you
might look at the U20 Bombers too. Your
totaled car and maintenance experience
builds rank. You will find links to
both (and other) sites on my LINKS page.
