Subject: need a repair shop
Hello,
I was wondering if you could be of some help.
I own a 1971 240 with 14,701 original miles. The vehicle is a remarkable
specimen of originality. I purchased it one year ago from a gentleman that
purchased it new in 1971 from the Dealer, put 14,000 miles on it the first
two years of ownership and basically never drove it much again. Put it in
his garage with a cover on it. Bought at age 38 sold it to me at age 70.
Anyway I have kept it original and have replaced only with oem parts that
have failed through time, including all bushings and half shafts and Diff
mount etc.
I cannot seem to cure the rear end clunk no matter what I do. Do you know of
a shop in the New York Tri State area that might be able to help me.
I appreciate any help you can be.
Thank you,
Burt Diamond
