Holy crap Stan!
I complete doctorate thesis of spring technology!
Hey, all I did was have my spare set of front springs squished and welded
(lower two coils squished
in a big vise and welded together). They are about one coil shorter, which
makes the
car ride about 1.5 inches lower, and due to the nature of spring laws as you
describe below,
they are a lot stiffer. Works great for autocross, but man, you have to try
and drive around
the bumps in the road or your teeth will shatter.
