Thanks all for the advice. I looked in the Clymers and the Chiltons and
could find much help other than the location of the plug. The filler
plug was quite a struggle to get off, I had to add some leverage to the
wrench before I finally got it off
The pump worked fine and seems to be shifting smoother now we'll see if
it helps the reverse from grinding. There were a few metal flakes stuck
to the magnet on the drain plug, but not too many. I expect that is
somewhat to be expected. I have a suspicion that it had been awhile
since it had been changed.
I'm off to continue test driving in the sun.:-)
