Hi kids...I have a slight problem with the reassembly of my engine; if I
tighten the rod bolts to full torque value I can't turn the engine over by hand
anymore, so I am guessing that the rod bearings need to be resized (any other
guesses?). It's fine up to 45+ ft/lbs, but much more than that and she gets
pretty tight. No, I didn't Plastigage it, I know, I'm a dope. So I'm taking
the
engine back apart again for another trip to the machine shop, and I'm looking
at the lower chain guide again, and I'm wondering "why the heck is that thing
there?" I know my original one was broken off (!) and I'm wondering if I
should even bother with the new one.
Any thoughts?
