Larry,

Rod bearings were the same. Thanks Stan!

Need to have the crank turned to see what size main
bearings I'll need.

As to rusty front rotors... Common problem from sitting,
and a light layer of rust forming on the rotors.

Couple of idea's... easiest one is to jack up the front
tire and put a lug wrench on it. One of the rare times I
use a "click" style... just torque the lug nuts down
(wheel is off the ground) and usually you'll find the
wheel will start to spin. The rust is being "brushed
off" by the pads so just keep moving the wheel back
and forth.

If the pads have "frozen" onto the disc, you need to
take a look at the front calipers and the way the pads
have a "recess" to slip down over the pistons. I ended
up having to unbolt the caliper frames, unbolt the pistons,
and pulling everything off. The pads would not budge. 3lb
sledge hammer, hunk of oak wood, and a good smack for the
"pad" off the rotor.

I do remember the story a fellow told of "putting oil over
the rotors prior to storage, to prevent them from rusting".
Idea was to replace the oil soaked pads in the spring. Clean
everything off, install new pads. Yep, so excited about pulling
the car out on a nice spring day forgot all about the oiled
rotors. Uh oh....
